Karnataka Board Exams 2021 date: ANNOUNCED! State PUC exams from May, SSLC likely in June

Chief Minister BS Yeddiyurappa-led Karnataka Government has made the big Karnataka Board Exams 2021 date announcement for the students of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 and Second Pre-University (Class 12). As per the government announcement, Karnataka SSLC 2021 examinations would be conducted in the first week of June, while the PUC 2nd year or Class 12 examinations would be conducted in May 2021.

“Second Pre-University (Class 12) exams to be held in the month of May while Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 exams are expected to be held during the first week of June,” said Karnatakta Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Wednesday.

The government statement on Karnataka Board Exams 2021 date however, does not reveal the date sheet as yet. It is expected that detailed time table will be released on the official websites soon.

Earlier, in the view of the Covid-19 situation, Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar had announced that the SSLC and PUC 2021 examinations will not be conducted in March. The Secondary School Leaving Certification (SSLC) and Pre-University Course or PUC Examinations are usually held in March in the state.  

The education minister cleared doubts over SSLC and PUC Exam 2021 date while stating that the focus is to reopen schools and colleges in a safe manner.  

“The Department of Education is making all the preparations for reopening of schools and colleges ensuring that process is safe and sound. The SSLC and PUC exams will not take place in March 2021 due to the shortage of time,” said Kumar.

On Wednesday, Assam also announced the dates of class 10 board examinations. According to the date sheet announced by the board, the exams will start on May 11.

Earlier, Assam finance, health, and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter and made the announcement of both HSLC and HS examinations. He wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT HSLC & HS examinations,2021 will be conducted as follows 1. High School leaving certificate examination from 11th May. 2. Higher Secondary examination from 12th May Result of HSLC & HS examinations will be declared within 7th and 30th July respectively.”
