ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 Result: Soon after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 last month, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) also cancelled the ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021. The CISCE notification stated that a 'fair and unbiased criterion' will be followed based on which the results for the ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be compiled.

As per a report by The Times of India, the students of classes 9 to 12 in schools affiliated to the CISCE will be evaluated throughout the year and marks scored in the exams and projects, including unit tests, Half Yearly and Annual exams, will be simultaneously tabulated both by the school and the CISCE to help the latter prepare the mark sheets for ICSE and ISC exams. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country the offline ICSE Class 10 Board Exam and the ISC Class 12 Board Exam should be cancelled.
After the CISCE cancelled the ICSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 keeping in view the pandemic situation of the country, there has been a lot of anticipations among the students regarding their evaluation scheme. Nothing has been so far announced by the CISCE officially.
According to The Times of India report, while speaking to the heads of schools, Gerry Arathoon CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary said that the continuous evaluation is followed by the international boards, and this will ensure fairness. He also said that the modalities on uniformity in the continuous evaluation process are being worked out and will be shared with schools soon. While explaining the decision, Richard Gasper, Principal, St Augustine’s Day School-Ripon Street said that since the pandemic could linger on for a few more years, the council has assured schools that the manner of evaluation will be continuous from the very beginning in order to avoid any uncertainty in case the final exams are cancelled.
Since the CISCE had cancelled the ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 last month, it has been struggling to get the scores of the students in classes 9 and 10 from the schools. The CISCE had instructed the schools to send the average marks, the students have scored in the various subjects in their internal exams. Possibly, the CISCE will use these marks to prepare the results of the ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021. The CISCE has set a deadline of May 15, 2021 to submit the marks.
The CBSE had also cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and had recently announced the evaluation criteria for the candidates. The ISC Class 12 Board Exam 2021 has been postponed and the CISCE had notified that a decision on the ISC Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be undertaken by the first week of June.
