After CBSE, Gujarat Board releases Class 10, 12 exams 2021 date sheet—check details on gseb.org

After central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the date sheet for CBSE exams 2021, now Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has also released Gujarat Board Class10, Class 12 datesheet. GSEB class 10, 12 exams 2021 date sheet is available for download on gseb.org.

"GSEB Class 10 exams will be conducted from May 10 to May 20, while GSEB Class 12 exams will be held between May 10 to May 21. GSEB Class 12 exams 2021 will be held from 3pm to 6 pm," read the date sheet released by the Gujarat education board

“We had earlier planned to hold the board exams in May, but after the CBSE declared its exam schedule we thought that if we delay (the announcement) it would only lead to anxiety among students. So, to avoid that we announced the date sheet today,” Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama told Indian Express.

Like exams of other state boards and CBSE board exams 2021, Gujarat state board exams were also delayed. Keeping social distancing in mind, the state education department has increased the number of exam centers this year from 5500 to 6700.  Also, Gujarat state board be conducting exam in 75,000 rooms as against 60,000 last year.  

This year around 10.5 lakh students are likely to register for Class 10 board exams and 5.30 lakh students for class 12 board exams. The Board has already reduced the syllabus by 30 percent. For more related details candidates can visit the official site of GSEB.
