Government eases soybean moisture norms for farmers
The threshold has been raised from the standard 12 per cent Fair Average Quality (FAQ) limit to 15 per cent, addressing farmers' concerns over crop quality due to unfavourable weather conditions.
In a move aimed at supporting soybean farmers during the Kharif 2024-25 season, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has announced a relaxation in the permissible moisture content for soybean procurement under the Price Support Scheme (PSS).
