Davos 2023: World is back to pre-covid tourism levels, says BLS International as global economy limps back to normalcy | World Economic Forum 2023
Amid Covid concerns, BLS International's Shikhar Aggarwal emphasized that the world is not going to stop now. "We see a far greater number of participants in Davos this year. The demand is definitely higher and we will see the results," he said.
Davos 2023 | World Economic Forum 2023: The World Economic Forum Meeting is underway in the snow-laden Swiss ski resort town, Davos. Thousands have participated in the annual meet, including around a hundred participants from India.
More than 50 heads of governments or states and prominent business leaders have participated in the 53rd annual meeting.
Among them were the promoters of BLS International who took part in the meet and showcased India's growth story to the world. Shikhar Aggarwal, MD, BLS International said that BLS international has already crossed the last year's number in only two quaters this year, which is a very bright and encouraging. He said that the company will see a lot of profit compared to 2022.
He further revealed that a lot of new contracts have been included for example BLS international has started working with Germany government, and for Philippines government which has already started generating revenue.
BLS International works with Embassies and Governments across the world in the domain of visa, passport, consular, e-governance, attestation, biometric, e-visa and retail services. It also provides citizen services to state and provincial governments across Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, North America & Middle East.

Participating in the annual meet, BLS International's Shikhar Aggarwal said "BLS international is the only company in visa counsellor service business globally. Shikhar revealed that the company has signed several MoU's in order to declared the tenders of around 2 billions it has been biding on." He added that the company has more than doubled its profit on the back of a spike in revenues. According to the company's annual report, there is a large market available to be captured as a majority of the governments are yet to outsource visa services which may further strengthen the profitability in coming quarters.
Amid Covid concerns in China, Aggarwal emphasized that the tourism industry was hoping for people to travel with the same enthusiasm as they did before the Covid pandemic. "However, the crowd of tourists is far more than what was expected considering all the hotels in the areas are full, tickets are now not available, and people are line-up for the visa," he added.
He said that the growth of the company in just the last year shows that people have now adopted traveling as their lifestyle. He further said the demand of BLS international is immense post Covid in the 66 countries it operates.
The theme of this year's WEF is 'Cooperation in a Fragmented World' and it is expected to convene more than 2,700 leaders from 130 countries, including 52 heads of state/government.
