Now, you will get your Flipkart orders in under 90 minutes, at least in select cities. Walmart-owned e-commerce platform has taken another chance on the hyperlocal delivery space, by launching Flipkart Quick, a 90-minute delivery. The service will initially start in six cities, starting with Bengaluru.

Walmart-owned e-commerce platform has taken another chance on the hyperlocal delivery space, by launching Flipkart Quick, a 90-minute delivery. The service will initially start in six cities, starting with Bengaluru. Flipkart Quick will have more than 2,000 products in categories such as Grocery, Fresh, Dairy, Meat, Mobiles, Electronics Accessories, Stationery Items and Home Accessories in the first phase.
The customers will have the option to choose between the next 90 minutes or book a 2-hour slot as per their convenience. Customers can place orders any time of the day, and get their orders delivered between 6 am to midnight; starting with a minimum delivery fee Rs 29.
"This is a great model for India as households of all sizes are already used to their neighbourhood Kirana stores. While we start with our dark store (no-walk-in) model, wherein we enable sellers to store inventory close to the consumer; this model has the potential of encouraging local entrepreneurship and enabling new business strategies and partnerships", said Sandeep Karwa, Vice-President, Flipkart.

Flipkart Quick will debut in Bengaluru in select locations, including Whitefield, Panathur, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Banashankari, KR Puram and Indiranagar. Flipkart will be competing with offerings such as Amazon Fresh and Dunzo in this category.
Last week, Flipkart had announced a marketplace, called Flipkart Wholesale. With the launch of new marketplace, Flipkart aims to transform the kirana retail ecosystem in India by leveraging cutting-edge and locally developed technology. Flipkart Wholesale will focus on meeting the needs of kirana stores by providing small businesses a wide selection at significant value.
The e-commerce platform had announced that Wholesale will be a ‘one-stop access to an extensive selection of products with attractive schemes and incentives’, supplemented with data-driven recommendations for stock selection, delivered through a fast and reliable network to drive greater efficiencies and better margins.
