Tata Sky ready to challenge Reliance Jio, launches services in 14 cities
The company has started its operations in 14 cities of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mira Bhayandar, Mumbai, Noida, Pimpri Chinchwad and Thane. Ahead of the launch of Reliance Jio GigaFiber FTTH service, established service providers including Bharti Airtel, BSNL and ACT Fibernet are gearing up to face the challenge in the broadband sector. However, Tata Sky Broadband company, which is known to have first started providing DTH connection to the public, is now taking advantage of its extensive network to launch broadband services, said a TelecomTalk report.

The available Tata Sky Broadband plans classified across various time frames are given below.
1 Month Package
Under this plan, Tata Sky Broadband is offering five speeds including 5 Mbps plan which is priced at Rs 999; 10 Mbps plan priced at Rs 1,150; 30 Mbps plan priced at Rs 1,500; 50 Mbps plan priced at Rs 1,800; and 100 Mbps plan priced at Rs 2,500. There are two more plans: 60GB plan at Rs 999 and 125GB plan at Rs 1,250. If you subscribe to these plans, you will receive a Wi-Fi Router, after paying Rs 1,200 as installation charge, said the TelecomTalk report.
3 Months Package
Under this plan, users can avail five plans with different speeds of 5, 10, 30, 50, 100 Mbps with a subscription of Rs 2,997, Rs 3,450, Rs 4,500, Rs 5,400 and Rs 7,500 respectively. Notably, the 60GB plan will cost the Rs 2,997, while 125GB plan will come at Rs 3,750.
5 Months Package
Similar to earlier packages, the 5 Mbps plan will cost Rs 4,995, 10 Mbps plan Rs 5,750, 30 Mbps plan Rs 7,500, 50 Mbps plan Rs 9,000 and 100 Mbps plan will cost Rs 12,500, while the 60 GB plan will be available at Rs 4,995 whereas, and 125GB plan will cost you Rs 6,250.
9 Months Package
Under this package, the five plans of 5, 10, 30, 50 and 100 Mbps will be priced at Rs 8,991, Rs 10,350, Rs 13,500, Rs 16,200 and Rs 22,500 respectively, while 60GB per month plan will cost Rs 8,991, and 125GB plan come at Rs 11,250.
12 Months Package
The annual subscription for the five plans with 5, 10, 30, 50 and 100 Mbps speeds will cost Rs 11,988, Rs 13,800, Rs 18000, Rs 21,600 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
