BSE to acquire remaining 50% stake in index provider Asia Index
The stock exchange has decided to acquire the remaining 50 per cent stake for Rs 30 crore.
Stock exchange BSE has decided to acquire the remaining 50 per cent stake in index provider Asia Index from equal joint venture (JV) partner S&P Dow Jones (SPDJ).
The move is estimated to cost the bourse Rs 30 crore.
After the completion of the transaction, Asia Index will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of BSE.
Market regulator Sebi had approved the acquisition in December.
