Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders posted a robust 75.7 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in profit after tax (PAT), reaching Rs 585 crore for the quarter ending September 2024. This is a significant rise from Rs 332.9 crore in the same period last year.
The company also saw a strong surge in revenue, which climbed 50.8 per cent YoY to Rs 2,756.8 crore, up from Rs 1,827.7 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
EBITDA experienced remarkable growth, up 189.1 per cent YoY to Rs 511 crore compared to Rs 177 crore in the prior-year quarter. This significant increase in operational efficiency led to an EBITDA margin expansion of 886 basis points, bringing margins up to 18.5 per cent from 9.7 per cent in the previous year’s quarter.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders’ strong performance reflects effective cost management and growth in operational activities for the quarter.
