Jio GigaFiber broadband plan to start at Rs 500; Check data and speed

Reliance Jio GigaFiber broadband service is expected to be rolled out in select cities in the coming months. The company is looking to make its new broadband service available in 1,100 cities across the country, said a timesnow.com report, while adding that there is no confirmation, but expectations are that the rollout will start in select 29 cities.
 
Jio GigaFiber service was announced by Mukesh Ambani, Managing Director and Chairman of Reliance Industries, in July this year.
 
The company is reportedly piloting its Jio GigaFiber preview offer in select cities where users can avail 100Mbps speeds per month for a period of three months. The users are also being given 100GB data as complimentary under the offer. 
 
A report by JioFiber.org stated that the Jio GigaFiber will be offered in three type of plans - special plans, speed-based plans, and volume-based or unlimited plans depending on user preference.
 
Jio GigaFiber special plans will start at as low as Rs 500, offering 300GB data limit with 50Mbps speed limit for a period of 30 days, Rs 750 and Rs 999 will offer 450GB and 600GB data limit per month respectively for a validity of 30 days. Notably, the Rs 999 plan will give a 100Mbps speed limit. 
 
Those who opt for Rs 1,299 will get 750GB of data for one month at a download speed of 100Mbps, while Rs 1,500 plan will come with 900GB data limit for a month.
 
Notably, the news is based on reports, therefore, it cannot be said that the plans will come as per the stated offer because the company is yet to make any announcement in this regard.
