Hindustan Zinc Dividend 2024: Vedanta group firm announces 950% dividend; check record and payment dates
In FY 2024, Hindustan Zinc had paid a total dividend of Rs 5,493 crore, of which the government received Rs 1,622 crore against its 29.5 per cent stake in the company.
Vedanta group firm Hindustan Zinc Ltd's (HZL) board today, August 20 announced its second interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25, according to a stock market disclosure,
"The Board of Directors of Hindustan Zinc Limited (“the Company”), at its meeting held today i.e. Tuesday, August 20, 2024, has considered and approved the Second Interim Dividend of Rs. 19/- per equity share i.e. 950% on the face value of Rs 2/- per equity share for the Financial Year 2024-25 amounting to Rs 8028.11 crore," the company said in a regulatory filing today.

The record date for the dividend is August 28, 2024.

"The Interim dividend shall be duly paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under law," the company said.

In FY 2024, Hindustan Zinc had paid a total dividend of Rs 5,493 crore, of which the government received Rs 1,622 crore against its 29.5 per cent stake in the company.
In FY22-23, the company made a record dividend payout of around Rs 32,000 crore, with the government getting a whopping Rs 9,500 crore.
Meanwhile, shares of HZL were trading at Rs 504 each, up 1.7 per cent on BSE today, August 20 at 12.32 PM IST.
