HCL Tech declares Rs 10/share dividend

HCL Technologies' board on Wednesday declared a dividend of Rs 10 per share — a 500 per cent payout given the face value of Rs 2 per share. Noida-based HCL Tech — the country's third largest IT company by market capitalisation (mcap) — set July 20 as the record date for the payout, the first interim dividend for the current financial year.

HCL Tech said the dividend will be paid on August 1, 2023.

HCL Tech Q1 results

HCL Technologies reported a net profit of Rs 3,534 crore for the quarter ended June 2023, marking a decline of 11.3 per cent compared with the previous three months. Its revenue shrank by 1.2 per cent sequentially to Rs 26,296 crore, according to a regulatory filing. 

The company's top-line as well as the bottom-line fell short of analysts' estimates.
