Godrej Appliances to invest Rs 200 crore to ramp up production
Godrej Appliances will invest Rs 200 crore to hike production at its two manufacturing units.
"Godrej Appliances intends to undertake brownfield expansion at two of their existing home appliances manufacturing facilities based at Shirwal, near Pune, and Mohali in Punjab," the company said in a statement.
It further said: "Entailing an investment of around Rs 200 crore, the brownfield projects will help to ramp up production of air conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators at both locations."
Godrej Appliances Business Head and EVP Kamal Nandi said: "The proposed expansion will allow us to meet the increasing demand from customers and expand our footprint to an even larger area."
In April, Godrej Appliances had said it is planning to increase the number of exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) in the country within a year to 100 from 42 at present.
