7350% dividend in Q4: FMCG major Britannia Industries announces Rs 73.5 dividend
The company's board has announced 7350 per cent dividend i.e., Rs. 73.5 per share, and has also fixed the record date for the AGM and final dividend i.e. Monday, 5th August, 2024.
The board of directors of FMCG major Britannia on Friday, May 3, recommended a final dividend of Rs 73.5 per equity share for FY24 with a face value of Rs 1, according to a stock market disclosure.
"Recommended the final dividend for the financial year ended 31st March, 2024 @ 7350% i.e., Rs. 73.5/- (Rupees Seventy Three and Fifty Paise Only) per equity share of Re. 1 /- each to be declared at the 105 the Annual General Meeting of the Company. Final Dividend if declared, will be paid within the timelines prescribed under the law," the company's board of directors said in a BSE filing.
The company has also fixed the record date for the AGM and final dividend i.e. Monday, 5th August, 2024.
Simultaneously, the biscuit maker has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2024.
Meanwhile, shares of Britannia closed at Rs 4,745.2 each, down 0.32 per cent on BSE today.
Britannia, which sells Jim Jam and NutriChoice biscuits, reported a consolidated net profit of 5.38 billion rupees ($64.5 million) for the three months ended March 31, compared with analysts' average estimate of 5.37 billion rupees, according to data from LSEG.
The profit, however, fell from 5.59 billion rupees a year earlier, as revenue grew only 1% to 40.69 billion rupees in the reported quarter. Read more
