In a move to support the vaccination drive in the country, IndiGo on Wednesday, June 23 launched a special discount offer of up to 10 percent on the base fares for its vaccinated customers. The offer is available for IndiGo flight bookings made from June 23, 2021, and will remain in force until withdrawn by the company.

"Vaxi Fare for our vaccinated fliers. Our vaccinated fliers can get up to 10% off," according to a statement released by the carrier on Wednesday.

About the offer:

Explaining about the offer IndiGo said that Vaxi Fare is a discounted fare which is only applicable for passengers vaccinated and located in India at the time of booking.

"Passengers must carry their COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, or show their vaccination status on the Aarogya Setu mobile app at the airport check-in counter - failing which, applicable difference in fare and change fee may be charged," the airline said.

It further informed that the offer is valid only on the IndiGo website. Also, people who have got their 1st vaccination jab and those who are fully vaccinated can avail the offer.

The discounted fare is only applicable for passengers aged 18 years and above at the time of booking and should be located in India.

How to avail the offer?

People who have got vaccinated and need to travel can avail the offer that is up to 10 percent discount on IndiGo's ticket price by following the below mentioned steps:

Step 1: Go to the official website of IndiGo for booking your flight tickets.

Step 2: Select Vaxi Fare option while entering your arrival and departure destination.

Step 3: Make selection regarding your vaccination status (1st dose, 2nd dose, not vaccinate.) You need to note that you will be asked about your beneficiary reference ID.

Step 4: Choose preferred flight.

Step 5: Enter beneficiary ID details after this your booking will be completed.
