Call Drops: Telecoms lose face in Hyderabad
TRAI’s call drop test in Hyderabad showed that customers on Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications network faced maximum call drops.
Telecom regulatory body TRAI’s call drop test in Hyderabad showed that customers on Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications network faced maximum call drops.
Out of 10, 3 areas involving Banjara Hills, Secunderabad & Gandhamguda contributed to 60% of total drop calls.The tests were conducted in Hyderabad on May 5 to May 7.
The report mentioned that call drops on Vodafone and Telenor was least among telecom companies, however, no other telecom operator could meet the 2% benchmark set by TRAI.
Out of 14 networks tested, 11 networks did not fulfil the set benchmark.
A website has been launched by TRAI to publish results of its test drives.
Though RCom disappointed with the results in Hyderabad, it met the benchmark in Delhi which was held on May 3-6.
