Airtel hikes tariff rates; check your new recharge plan
The Airtel prepaid subscribers must know that the new tariff plans will come into effect from November 26, 2021.
Airtel Prepaid Plans Recharge: On Monday, telecom operator Bharti Airtel announced a 20-25 per cent tariff hike on Monday for various prepaid offering, including tariffed voice plans, unlimited voice bundles, and data top-ups. The Airtel prepaid subscribers must know that the new tariff plans will come into effect from November 26, 2021.

The entry-level tariffed voice plan has been hiked by about 25 per cent, while for unlimited voice bundles the increase in most cases is about 20 per cent, reported PTI.
Airtel said in a statement, "We also believe that this level of ARPU will enable the substantial investments required in networks and spectrum. Even more important, this will give Airtel the elbow room to roll-out 5G in India."
The Airtel prepaid subscribers must be aware of the different plans under the new tariffs. They are as follows:
Tariffed Voice Plans
In tariffed voice plans, the new rate is Rs 99, against the current Rs 79 with 28 days validity and benefits like "50 per cent more talk time worth Rs 99, 200 MB data, 1p/sec voice tariff".
Unlimited voice bundles
1) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 2 GB data for 28 days whose rate was Rs 149 has been raised to Rs 179.
2) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 1 GB data/ per for 28 days whose rate was Rs 219 has been raised to Rs 265.
3) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 1.5 GB data/ day for 28 days whose rate was Rs 249 has been raised to Rs 299.
4) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 2 GB data/ day for 28 days whose rate was Rs 298 has been raised to Rs 359.
5) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 1.5 GB data/ day for 56 days whose price was Rs 399 has been raised to Rs 479.
6) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 2 GB data/ day for 56 days whose price was Rs 449 has been raised to Rs 549.
7) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 6 GB data for 84 days whose price was Rs 379 has been raised to Rs 455.
8) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 1.5 GB data/ day for 84 days whose price was Rs 598 has been raised to Rs 719.
9) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 2 GB data/ day for 84 days whose price was Rs 698 has been raised to Rs 839.
10) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 24 GB data for 365 days whose price was Rs 1498 has been raised to Rs 1799.
11) Unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day and 2 GB data/ day for 365 days whose price was Rs 2498 has been raised to Rs 2999.
Data Top-ups
1) 3 GB data which was earlier priced at Rs 48 has been raised to Rs 58
2) 12 GB data which was earlier priced at Rs 98 has been now raised to Rs 118
3) 50 GB data which was earlier priced at Rs 251 has been now raised to Rs 251
In other related news, it has to be noted that on Tuesday, Vodafone Idea has hiked the tariff plans for prepaid users by 20-25 per cent. The new tariff plans will be effective from November 25, 2021.
