The 2019 Honda Civic sedan is likely to get more standard driver-assist tech, a new Sport trim level, and refreshed styling. Honda claims the front fascia has been significantly updated.
After launching the 10th-gen Honda Civic Facelift in August this year, the carmaker has now revealed more information about the 2019 sedan with a fresh set of pictures. And first impression is that the car is striking and spectacular. The Honda Civic is expected to make a comeback in India with a facelift version in the first quarter of next year itself.
According to reports, the 2019 Honda Civic sedan is likely to get more standard driver-assist tech, a new Sport trim level, and refreshed styling. Honda claims the front fascia has been significantly updated.
The Honda Sensing suite of driver aids is now standard on all Civic sedan as it will include autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, road departure mitigation with lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control, said Digital Trends report, claiming that Honda plans to make it standard across the board by the 2022 model year.
The prices of 2019 Honda Civic are expected to begin somewhere between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
Notably, the new Civic would be much sporty than its predecessor and the major changes in the design will reportedly include new piano black upper fascia wing, restyled lower fascia, bumper and lower grille, a full-width front splitter, chrome side pod accents, and updated halogen or LED headlights.
Earlier, NDTV auto report claimed that the new Civic will also get a chrome accent on the lower rear bumper and new set of wheel designs for both models, including a larger 18-inch rim. Further, the new trim will also feature updated 7-inch Display Audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and volume button.

According to the Honda's website, the Honda Sensing of safety and driver-assistive technologies is designed to alert you to things you might miss while driving. The features will include Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS); Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS); Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM); and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow.
