Wait over! New Honda Civic launched in India - From prices to variants to top features, what car lovers need to know

Finally, the All New Honda Civic 2019 has been launched in India. The curtain was lifted in a high-octane ceremony to unveil the much-awaited  10th Generation Honda Civic in the Indian market. With the launch of All New Honda Civic in the Indian market, the carmaker promises to deliver an all new customer driving experience. The launch event took place in the presence of Gaku Nakanishi, President & CEO, Honda Cars India and Rajesh Goel, Sr Vice President & Director - Sales & Marketing. The New Honda Civic is being manufactured at Honda Cars India Limited’s Greater Noida (UP) plant. 

Gaku Nakanishi while presenting the  Honda’s longest-running automotive nameplate and its largest selling model globally i.e. Civic, said, “We are delighted to expand our product portfolio in India with the launch of the iconic and our global best seller Honda Civic. This is Honda’s 3rd new model introduction in FY19 and the launch of Civic completes our premium sedan line-up in India.” Commenting on the response received by All New Honda Civic so far,  the President & CEO of Honda Cars India said, “We have received an overwhelming response during the pre-launch phase and we believe that the All New Civic will have the opportunity to revive the executive sedan segment in India.

All New Honda Civic Engine: Powertrain - 10th Generation All New Honda Civic has been launched in both petrol and diesel powertrains. The Civic Diesel is being introduced for the first time in India.

Honda says, "The All-New Civic is powered by a 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine mated to a highly advanced Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that offers a very responsive driving performance and better fuel saving."

"Also introduced with a Diesel engine option in India for the first time, Honda Civic comes with the exciting 1.6L i-DTEC diesel turbo unit from Honda Earth Dreams Technology series mated to a 6 speed  Manual Transmission offering excellent driving performance and best in segment fuel efficiency of 26.8 km/l," adds Honda.
