Mercedes-Benz launches Mercedes GLA facelift in India: Check price, AMG Line features, specs

Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the 2024 GLA facelift in India on Wednesday, January 31.  The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA is being offered in two distinctive lines: the AMG Line — featuring GLA 220d 4MATIC, and Progressive Line — offering options like the GLA 200 and GLA 220d 4MATIC.

Mercedes GLA 2024: Price

The updated model is being offered from a starting price of Rs 50.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2024 iteration sees a marked increase in price — it is almost Rs 2.1 lakh dearer than its predecessor. 

For those seeking the top-tier experience, the AMG Line variant is available at a price point of Rs 56.90 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

2024 Mercedes GLA: Design

In terms of design, the 2024 GLA features a long wheelbase with short overhangs, body-colored wheel arches, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The exterior features new taillight graphics, a sporty diffuser, a pronounced roof spoiler, and an AMG rear apron with chrome elements.

2024 Mercedes GLA: Speed and Engine

The GLA 200 with its 1332 cc petrol-powered engine and 7G-DCT transmission, produces 120 kW power, 270 Nm torque, and acceleration of 0 to 100 km/hr in 8.9 seconds. 

On the other hand, the GLA 220d 4MATIC — equipped with a 1950 cc diesel engine and 8G-DCT transmission — offers 140 kW power, 400 Nm torque, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in 7.5 seconds.

2024 Mercedes GLA: Interior

Inside, the AMG Line provides a flat-bottom steering wheel in Nappa leather, carbon-structure trim, and sport seats in Artico/Microcut black with red contrasting top stitching. 

The Progressive Line, on the other hand, showcases a new radiator grille with vertical lines, illuminated Star Pattern Trim, comfort seats, and a multifunction steering wheel.

2024 Mercedes GLA: Features

It comes with safety features like 7 airbags, active brake assist, pedestrian protection, adaptive high beam assist, Car-to-X communication, Mercedes Me Connect, a dual-screen cockpit, wireless smartphone connectivity, mini games, and digital key handover.

Comfort and convenience are prioritized with features like automatic 2-zone AC, ambient lighting, active parking assist with a 360-degree camera, Keyless-Go, blind spot assist, and hands-free access.
