Maruti Suzuki India Limited March 2019 and FY 2018-19 Sales Figures: The Financial Year 2018-19 for auto giant Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) ended a high note! Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold 158,076 units in March 2019. This 158,076 data includes 147,613 units in the domestic market and 10,463 units in exports. Moreover, this, Maruti Suzuki India Limited concluded FY 2018-19 with its highest ever total sales of 1,862,449 units - this comprises the highest ever domestic sales of 1,753,700 units, and the export sales were 108,749 units. For FY 2018-19, the YOY growth for Maruti Suzuki India Limited stood at 4.7 per cent.

Earlier, on March 28, Maruti Suzuki had announced that New Ciaz is now available with a 1.5 litre capacity in both petrol (K15 with Next-Gen Smart Hybrid) and diesel (DDiS 225) powertrain options. The 1.5 litre engine has been developed in-house. By beefing up its engine portfolio with the introduction of a new 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel engine, Maruti Suzuki marked its full-fledged entry into the market with bigger engines of 1.5 litre capacity.
Commenting on the launch of New Ciaz, Kenichi Ayukawa, MD & CEO of Maruti Suzuki had said, “The all-new aluminium 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel engine showcases our commitment to provide products that capture performance aspirations of our young customers."
"We are confident that the introduction of this new engine will further strengthen our portfolio and help in popularity of our cars," Ayukawa had added.
