Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) launched in India: Check features, price and other key details

Hyundai has recently launched the new Sportz (O) trim for its i20 lineup in India. This updated version of the popular hatchback comes packed with a range of exciting new features. Although the appearance closely resembles the previously launched variant in September 2023, there are notable enhancements worth exploring in this updated version.

Hyundai i20 Sportz (O): Features

The Sportz (O) retains the sleek design of the standard Sportz model but introduces a significant addition: a single-pane sunroof, a feature previously exclusive to the higher-end Asta and Asta (O) variants. Despite a price increase of Rs 35,000 compared to the Sportz trim, the Sportz (O) offers an enticing package with its additional features.
 
The Sportz (O) trim distinguishes itself with the inclusion of a single-pane sunroof, adding a touch of luxury to this mid-range variant. Furthermore, it now features a wireless charger for added convenience and faux leather finishing on the armrests, elevating the overall interior aesthetics.

It also retains the existing features from the Sportz variant, such as a height-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, and a rear parking camera.

Hyundai i20 Sportz (O): Powertrain

Powering the Sportz (O) is the reliable 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. Notably, this variant is exclusively available with a 5-speed manual transmission, delivering 83hp for a smooth and efficient driving experience.

Hyundai i20 Sportz (O): Safety Features

Safety remains a top priority in the Sportz (O) with the inclusion of six airbags, ABS, EBD, hill-start assist, ESC, and Vehicle Stability Management Control. While it features 16-inch steel wheels, the sound system consists of front and rear speakers with front tweeters, omitting the premium Bose sound system found in higher variants.

The Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) comes with a price tag of Rs 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom) for monotone paint options, with dual-tone variants priced slightly higher at Rs 8.88 lakh.
