Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will flag off the new electric buses to be included in the DTC fleet on Tuesday.
The Delhi government has also issued a notification regarding this. It has been said that for three days i.e. from May 24 to 26, all passengers will be able to travel free in DTC electric buses. Officials and crew employees of DTC have been instructed not to ask passengers to take tickets during this period.
An official release of the Transport Department said on Monday, "I am directed to inform that it has been decided by the competent authority to allow free travel to all the bus commuters in all the pure electric busses of DTC, for the period from 24.05.2022 to 26.05.2022."
It also said, "All the Officers and the Operational Crew of DTC may be informed accordingly and not to insist commuters for purchase of tickets, during the aforesaid period of 03 days in all pure electric busses of DTC."
