There is some good news for investors having shares of Vedanta as the company has informed exchanges that its board has approved an interim dividend of Rs 20 per equity share with a face value of Rs 1 each for the financial year 2024-25. According to an exchange filing, the payout will amount to Rs 7,821 crores.
"We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of Vedanta Limited (the “Company”), at its meeting held today i.e. Monday, September 02, 2024, has considered and approved the Third Interim Dividend of ₹ 20/- per equity share on face value of ₹ 1/- per equity share for the Financial Year 2024-25 amounting to c. ₹ 7,821 Crores," the company said in an exchange filing.

The company has informed exchanges that it has fixed September 10 as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders.
"As intimated earlier, the record date for the purpose of payment of dividend shall be Tuesday, September 10, 2024, and the interim dividend shall be duly paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under law," the filing reads.

Earlier, the company announced the first and second interim dividends of Rs 11 and Rs 4 respectively.

Meanwhile, shares of Vedanta ended the session at Rs 463.30, down by 1.06 per cent from the previous close of Rs 468.25 on the BSE.
The intraday high and low of the session remained at Rs 473.20 apiece and Rs 461.20 apiece respectively.
