Share Market News August 7: At around 8:13 am, GIFT Nifty futures traded higher by 1.04 per cent or 249.1 points at 24,306, indicating a positive opening on the D-Street. Domestic equity benchmarks finished a volatile session mildly lower on Tuesday, as selling pressure in financial and auto shares outweighed buying interest in IT stocks. The Sensex ended 166.3 points, or 0.2 per cent, lower at 78,593.1 and the Nifty50 settled at 23,992.6, down 63.1 points, or 0.3 per cent, from its previous close. Here is a list of stocks that are set to be in focus on Wednesday, August 7, including Tata Power, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, and Cummins India.  7th August 2024 , Wednesday

Godavari Power & Ispat

Godavari Power & Ispat's board is set to meet on Wednesday to consider proposals for splitting its stock and issuing a dividend.

Footwear retailer Bata India reported a weak set of quarterly numbers

Tata Power 

Tata Power will acquire a 40 per cent stake in KHPL for Rs 830 crore.

The Tata group power generation company also reported its financial results for the April-June period, with a consolidated net profit of Rs 970.9 crore.
