Smartphone brand Realme India is expecting a big jump in its sales numbers in the country with GT series and number series smartphones accounting 30 per cent of overall sales next year, Madhav Sheth, CEO, Realme India, said in an exclusive conversation with Zee Business post launch of GT NEO 3T smartphone.

"We have adopted a new strategy which is called the Simply Better strategy. Under this, we intend to simplify our product portfolio starting with the Realme GT series and Number series, and we expect the GT series and number series to account for 30% of our overall sales next year," said, Sheth, who is also the Vice President at Realme and President of Realme International Business Group.

According to Sheth, since the launch of the GT series last year, approximately 640,000 units of this premium flagship series have been sold in India.

As festive season is about to start, Madhav Sheth said that the demand for Realme products has been really high and within just a few days of the Realme Festive Days sale, "we had sold over 300,000 smartphones".

Realme India CEO is quite optimistic about the upcoming days and looking forward to the rest of the festive period. Overall, the brand is expecting a 10 per cent y-o-y growth and  is targeting to sell 6-million smartphone units and 1.7 million AIoT units across channels.

On festive offers, Seth also told Zee Business: "During our sale starting September 23, users can avail discounts up to Rs 7000 on realme GT Neo 3T (6GB+128GB,  8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB) on Flipkart and company site. The Realme GT Pro will be available with a discount of up to Rs 15,000 on Flipkart and the Narzo 50 5G will be available starting at Rs 11,999 on Amazon. We are also providing discounts up to Rs 16000 on Realme Laptops on Flipkart and realme.com."

Speaking about the future plans, the CEO said that Realme India will be working towards simplifying its product offerings and emphasizing more on the quality of the product, beginning with the GT Series and Number Series phones.
