Tokyo Olympics 2020 India: On Thursday (August 5) after 41 years, Indian men's hockey team won an Olympic medal. In the bronze medal match against Germany, India thrashed Germany 5-4 to bag the Bronze medal. Ravi Dahiya settled for silver medal in Olympics after losing 4-7 in final to Russian Olympic Committee's Zavur Uguev in men's 57 kg freestyle wrestling final. Today, the women's hockey team lost in the Bronze medal match against Great Britain.

2.00 AM - Athletics: Men's 50 km Race Walk Final - Gurpreet Singh

Result - Gurpreet SIngh dropped out of the race after completing around 35 km as he was cramping due to the gruelling heat and humidity. At halfway point of 25 km, he was in the 49th position with the time of 2:01:54.

7.00 AM - Hockey: Women's Bronze Medal Match India Vs Great Britain

Result - India loses to Great Britain 4-3

Result  - Seema Bisla goes down 1-3 to Tunisia's Sarra Hamdi

Result - Bajrang Punia beats Ernazar Akmatalaiev and advances to quarter final
