The Indian medal tally has reached 10 so far in the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics 2020. Out of the total medals won by Indian athletes, two are Gold, five Silver and three Bronze.

Doordarshan Sports informed about the same via a tweet on Wednesday, September 1. "IND Medals so far at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics," it tweeted with the name of players who have won the medals.

As per the information, Avani Lekhara in Shooting and Sumit Antil in Athletics have won Gold medals. Followed by Bhavina Patel in TableTennis, Nishad Kumar, Yogesh Kathuniya, Devendra Jhajharia, and Mariyappan Thangavelu in Athletics with the Silver medals.

 

Bronze medal has been won by Sundar Singh Gurjar and Sharad Kumar in Athletics and Singhraj Adhana in Shooting. Earlier, Singhraj Adhana won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol SH1 event.

Mariyappan Thangavelu and Sharad Kumar, both are employed as Sports Authority of India coaches. This is Mariyappan’s second medal from the Paralympic Games as in Rio 2016, he won the Gold.

As per the official information so war, China is at the laed with most number of medals that is 154 including 73 Gold, 44 Silver and 77 Bronze medals.

China is followed by Great Britain with 90 medals, RPC with 89 medals, United States of America with 74 medals and Ukaraine with 77 medals. India is at the 35th spot.
