KGF Chapter 2 Release Date in India: Since the cliff-hanger ending of KGF part 1, the movie lovers and film buffs have been waiting for the second instalment of this action drama. They will have to wait for some more time and their wait will come to an end on April 14, 2022.

The Kannada language period action drama is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. Hombale Films tweeted from its official Twitter account about the release date of the film. The tweet said, "The uncertainties of today will only delay our resolve, but the eventuality is as promised. We will be out in theaters on April 14th 2022."

 

The second instalment of the 'KGF' franchise is also being directed by Prashant Neel and south star Yash will return as Raja 'Rocky' Krishnappa Bhairya. The first part of the film, 'KGF: Chapter 1' was released in 2018.

The maker of the film has also tweeted that the worldwide satellite rights for 'KGF: Chapter 2' have been locked on Zee. The tweet reads, "#KGFChapter2 locks its official worldwide satellite destination for South languages on ZEE."

 

"KGF" follows the story of Rocky (Yash) who rises from poverty to become the king of a gold mine. The second instalment of the franchise is important for another reason - Munna Bhai a.k.a Sanjay Dutt marks his Kannada acting debut with ' KGF: Chapter 2'.

Apart from Yash and Sanjay Dutt, the cast of ' KGF: Chapter 2' also includes Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty.

The wait for the sequel has been prolonged because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The theatrical release of the movie has been postponed several times due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Initially the film was scheduled to release on October 23, 2020, and then was rescheduled to July 16, 2021.

However, the long wait of the fans is finally coming to an end as the film is finally scheduled to release on big screen on April 14 next year!
