Did China build reinforced hangars on disputed islands?
Satellite photographs taken in late July show that China may have built reinforced aircraft hangars on its holdings in disputed South China Sea islands, a Washington-based research group stated.
Reuters reported the pictures that were put together by Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative and Centre for Strategic and International Studies.
However, an editorial by the Global Times stated that India should ‘avoid unnecessary entanglement’ with China over the dispute of South China Sea during the upcoming visit of Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi.
Here are satellite images from the reports.
