The presidential election is headed to a nail-biter, with Joe Biden having won 225 electoral college votes and Donald Trump following with 213. The winner should have at least 270 electoral college votes out of the 538. There are 538 Electoral College votes allotted to the 50 states and the District of Columbia. It takes 270 votes to win.
