Some things don’t change! Even in 2020. In the past, several funny videos of Pakistan cricketers have gone viral where they could be seen involved in hilarious mix-ups leading to embarrassing run outs. Friday was no different. During the ongoing ODI against Zimbabwe, two Pakistan top order batsmen ended up on the same end, leading to another similar incident.

During the 26th over of Pakistan inning, being bowled by Sikandar Raza, both Haris Sohail and Imam Ul Haq ended up on the striker’s end. This happened when Imam played the shot towards backward point fielder.

Haq’s eyes were on the ball all through and he hinted for a quick single to Haris. Following the hint, the batsman ran blindly and both the batsmen ended up at the striker’s end. The comical dismissal went viral on social media and obviously grabbed the attention of the fans.

Several social media users also criticised the batsmen for their selfish display.

After opting to bat, the hosts lost their first wicket in the form of Abid Ali, with the score reading 47. Both Haris Sohail and Imam Ul Haq had scored half centuries as Pakistan posted a strong total of 280/8 in the 50 overs. The top order started slow and at one point it seemed like the home side might fall short of a respectable total.

However, the lower order managed to squeeze 89 runs from the last 10 overs, taking the team to 280. In response, Zimbabwe lost opener Brian Chari in the very first over of the inning.
