Paul Krugman questions Donald Trump's 'great American food' claim over Burger King
Paul Krugman took a dig at US President Donald Trump citing how come Burger King — a Brazilian comapny serves 'great American food.'
Taking a dig at the US President Donald Trump's 'great American food' claim over twitter showcasing silver platters heaped high with McDonald`s quarter pounders and the red-and-white burger wrappers of Wendy's, noted Amerian economist and Nobel laureate Paul Krugman asked the White House on how come the Burger King became an American company. His tweet set the twitter on fire as people started to react on Trump's tweet with Burger King being an American company in question.
Paul Krugman tweeted, "So Trump served Burger King and called it "great American food." Am I the only one who thought to do a little research? Burger King is owned by 3G Capital, which is ... Brazilian." His claims got furtehr boost as Burger King had tweeted earlier from its official Twitter handle, "Due to large order placed yesterday, we're all out of hambergers. Just serving hambergers today."

Taking cue from Paul Krugman's tweet; Katie Rogers reacted, "He proudly displayed a table piled high with burgers from McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King. Mr. Trump himself called it “great American food.” But maybe it was really something else — comfort food for a president who feels stuck at home."
"We have pizzas, we have 300 hamburgers, many, many french fries, all of our favorite foods," Trump had told reporters earlier adding, "I want to see what’s here when we leave, because I don’t think it’s going to be much."
