A meditation program has been launched by Virgin Australia on their in-flight entertainment system for passengers to meditate and zone out in the clouds. To improve the flight experience for the passengers, many airlines are helping the flyers with the power of meditation, especially on long route flights.
Virgin Australia added a new meditation program in partnership with Aussie meditation app Smiling Mind to their in-flight system, after Qantas, Air France and Virgin Atlantic.
To assist users with the pressures and stress of daily life, psychologist developed a 10-minute meditation program. This summer, Qantas also added a meditation program with the growing popularity of meditation apps. Holistic coach Vicki Gus narrated the 12-minute sessions.
To ease viewers into a meditative state, there is another series featuring beautiful landscapes across Australia through drone. Air France had launched a 10-minute meditation program last year which has been used more than 2.5 million times on long-haul flights.
With sessions like "Mind travel" and "Achieving inner calm and peace", these programs are developed for both children and adults. Air Canada, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines use Headspace which is one of the most popular meditation app.
