"All our flights are assessed daily for any potential security or safety risks whether it is in the Middle East or any other part of our route network. Adjustments are made, if required, to avoid areas of risk with minimal impact on our non-stop operations. The situation is being closely monitored," said the private sector airline. Earlier, Air India was learned to be planning to change the routes of its flight operations in the air spaces adjacent to Israel and Iran, including an alternative route for its flights from New Delhi to London crossing the region close to the Iranian air space.
The airline was also learned to be reconsidering all its flight operations on international routes. It is also learned to have equipped all its international flights with extra fuel in order to cater to the possibilities of emergency diversions in order to avoid Iranian or Israeli air spaces.
The airline has already cancelled a scheduled flight to Tel Aviv in Israel.
