Indian UAE Tourist Visa: There is an important update for the Indian passport holders. The Indian passport holders can now get tourist visas to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), however, there is a condition. One must note that the Indian passport holders who have not been to the country in the last 14 days will get tourist visas to UAE.

According to news agency PTI, on Sunday, Gulf News reported that Indian passport holders, who have not been to the country in the last 14 days. UAE has also extended this facility to a number of other countries including Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda.

The PTI report stated that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, at present, only UAE citizens and transit passengers are allowed to fly to UAE. However, from now on, people from India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda will be granted tourist visa, provided they have not been to the country for 14 days.

This decision has been taken by UAE as the country is slowly opening its arrivals.

PTI further informed that All flyers will have to undergo a Polymerase Chain Reaction test on the day of arrival and on the ninth day after arrival in the UAE.

UAE has also informed that it will accept passengers from the Pakistani airports of Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Incidentally, earlier, arrivals from Pakistan were only allowed to transit passengers.

According to Johns Hopkins University. the coronavirus has claimed 2,018 lives alongwith 708,302 confirmed infections in UAE.
