Britain’s Lewis Hamilton clinched seventh F-1 World Championship, equaling Ferrari great Michael Schumacher's achievement during his 94th career win. The Mercedes star achieved this incredible feat in the Turkish Grand Prix on Sunday. “Dream the impossible. You have got to chase it and never give up. That's for all the kids out there who dream the impossible. You can do it," PTI reported Hamilton saying this after winning the Seventh World Championship in Istanbul. Lewis Hamilton
The 35-year-old Mercedes driver also holds record for maximum race wins, most pole positions and podium finishes than any other driver in the history of Formula-1. He has won seven F-1 World Championships in years—2008,2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Michael Schumacher
The Ferrari driver was the first one to reach this unimaginable mark. He is also the first one to win five consecutive World championships. He won in 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002,2003 and 2004.
Juan Manuel Fangio
The closest to Hamilton and Schumacher in the list of F-1 driver with most World Championships is Juan Manuel Fangio. He won five Championships in 1951, 1954, 1955, 1956 and 1957. Argentine driver had taken the wheel for Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and Maserati.
Alain Prost
With four World Championship titles, he is fourth in the list of most successful formula 1 drivers ever. He won in 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1993. The France F1 driver held the records for the most points, wins, fastest laps, podiums and points finishes at the time of his retirement in 1993.
Sebastian Vettel
Sebastian Vettel, German race-car driver, became the youngest Formula One (F1) driver to win the World Championship at the age of 23 years in 2010. He holds four championships to his name—2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013
Jack Brabham
The Australian car driver, famously known as Sir John Arthur Brabham, won the World Championship titles in 1959, 1960, 1966. He is probably also the only person to win a world driving championship in his own namesake car.
