Air Canada flight makes emergency landing in Hawaii after turbulence, 35 injured

Air Canada flight has made an emergency landing at Honolulu airport in Hawaii after the aircraft experienced "sudden and severe turbulence. In the incident, at least 35 people suffered minor injuries. Air Canada is Canada's largest domestic and international airline serving more than 210 airports on six continents.  

The Air Canada flight AC33 was on a flight to Sydney after taking off from Vancouver. The flight was airborne for two hours after taking off from Vancouver and was crossing Hawaii when it started experiencing "unforecasted and sudden turbulence," a CNN report mentioned.

The incident with the plane enforced the pilots to land the flight at Daniel K Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii. 

The Air Canada flight was carrying 269 passengers and 15 crew members on board during the turbulence felt by the flight, which was a flying at a height of 36,000 feet and was approximately 600 miles (approx. 966 kilometres) south-west of Honolulu during the incident.

The report mentioned that a lot of people hit the ceilings, felt quick turbulence and got injured in Canada's flag carrier.  

Air Canada company said that, "Our first priority is always the safety of our flights, passengers and crew and as a precaution, medical personnel are on standby to examine passengers in Honolulu."
