International Day of Happiness 2024: Which are the happiest countries in the world | History, Theme, Objective
Every year, the International Day of Happiness is celebrated on March 20 across the world. The aim of the day is to make people understand the importance of happiness and well-being.
The General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution 66/281 of 12 July 2012 proclaimed 20 March the International Day of Happiness.
The theme of the 2024 International Day of Happiness is- “Reconnecting for Happiness: Building Resilient Communities”.
To recognise the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.
According to the World Happiness Report 2024 released on Wednesday (March 20), Finland topped the list for the seventh year in a row, followed by Denmark and Iceland.
India ranks 126th in the World Happiness Index 2024, the same as last year.
