In a significant milestone for India's railway network, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to inaugurate the nation's first Vande Metro train on Monday, September 16, 2024.
The train will depart Ahmedabad at 5:30 PM, arrive in Bhuj at 11:10 PM Bhuj at 5:05 AM, and will arrive in Ahmedabad at 10:50 AM.
For the return leg, leave Bhuj at 5:05 AM and reach its destination (Ahmedabad) at 10:50 AM.
It will be operated six days a week.
The train will be covering the distance in approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes.
The train will make stops at nine stations for two minutes: Anjar, Gandhiram, Bhachau, Samakhiali, Halvad, Dhrangadhra, Viramgam, Chandlodiya, and Sabarmati.
The Railway Ministry has outlined a fare structure designed to accommodate different travel needs.
Weekly, fortnightly, and monthly passes will cost the equivalent of 7, 15, and 20 single journey fares, respectively.
The minimum fare will be Rs 30, inclusive of GST.
Charges will be rounded up to the nearest multiple of Rs 5.
