BCCI announced its player annual contract for the men's senior team for 2023-2024 on Wednesday, February 28.
With a lot of worthy names on the contract list this time, a lot of players haven't been considered to be part of the annual contracts in this round of recommendations.
Two of the most prominent names were Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, who, according to reports, weren't given any new contracts due to their disciplinary issues regarding their contribution to their domestic sides when not on national duty.
However, the board has recommended a fast bowling contract for Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal, and Vidwath Kaverappa.
Additionally, the board also stated that players who played at least 3 Tests or 8 ODIs or 10 T20Is within a specific period will automatically be included in Grade C on a pro-rata basis.
This will enable Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan, who have played two Test matches so far, to be inducted into the Grade C category if they are part of the playing 11 for the 5th Test of the ongoing series against England.
Here's the list of all the senior men's team players included in the BCCI contracts for 2023-24—
Grade CRinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaekwad, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, KS Bharat, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Rajat Patidar.
