18 OTT platforms banned by I&B Ministry

The Indian government has taken action against 18 OTT platforms, including 19 websites, 10 apps, and 57 social media handles for hosting obscene and vulgar content.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting acted under the Information Technology Act of 2000 on Thursday, March 14, 2024, following the directive of Minister Anurag Singh Thakur.

The content on these platforms was found to be pornographic, vulgar, and demeaning to women.

Here are all 18 OTT platforms that have been blacklisted by the government:
