At 35.4 MT a year, UP is the top wheat-producing state in India.
To put things into perspective, it is 31.4% of the country's overall wheat output.
At 21.3 MT, MP is the second largest wheat-growing state in the country.
That is 18.8% of the country's total rice production.
Punjab is the third largest wheat-producing state in India, at 17.8 MT.
That makes up for 15.6% of the country's total wheat output.
