At 16.6 MT a year, Telangana is the top rice-producing state in India.
To put things into perspective, it is 12.2% of the country's overall rice output.
At 15.7 MT, UP is the second largest rice-producing state in the country.
That is 11.5% of the country's total rice production.
West Bengal is the third largest rice-producing state in India, at 15.1 MT.
That makes up for 11.1% of the country's total rice output.
