This bank was established by Mahant Nritya Gopal Das in November 1970.

The bank is led by the chief of the Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra.

The bank holds a treasury of 'Sitaram' booklets, valued at Rs 20,000 crore, contributed by devotees of Lord Ram.

To open an account in this bank, individuals must write 'Sitaram' at least five lakh times, after which they are issued a passbook.

The trust has over 35,000 account holders from India and abroad, including countries like the US, the UK, Canada, Nepal, Fiji, the UAE, and others.

The bank has a network of 136 branches spread across India and extending to international locations as well.
