RBI Approves Transfer Of Rs 87,416 Crore As Surplus To The Government

The Reserve Bank of India's Central Board Friday approved the transfer of Rs 87,416 crore as surplus, or dividend, to the Union Government for the accounting year 2022-23, providing a major boost to its fiscal position. The board decided to keep the Contingency Risk Buffer at 6 per cent.
