Power distributors may hike tariffs by up to 40% this summer

Power distribution companies plan to raise tariffs across states if approved by the state electricity tariff regulators. Distribution utilities in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh have already proposed increases in tariffs.
