The Income Tax Department has taken a big step to provide relief to small taxpayers and save them from unnecessary legal litigation. Small taxpayers will benefit from the e-dispute resolution scheme of the Income Tax Department. All those taxpayers whose total income is less than Rs 50 lakh and income tax dispute does not exceed Rs 10 lakh can take advantage of this scheme. CBDT has notified this scheme on 5th April.
