Commodity Superfast: Rupee Plunges By 43 Paise To Record Low Of 79.38 Against US Dollar

The rupee fell by 43 paise to close at a fresh lifetime low of 79.38 against the US dollar on Tuesday. The rupee has depreciated by more than 6% this year. The dollar index, which measures the strength of the dollar against the world's six major currencies, rose to over 106.
