Commodity Superfast: Marathwada Vidarbha Trade Association Demands Ban On Turmeric Futures

Marathwada Vidarbha Trade Association has written a letter to the Minister of State for Finance, in which they have demanded a ban on trading in turmeric futures market. The association alleged that some traders and corporates are making their profit. The prices are being decided according to the convenience in the futures price. The farmers of Maharashtra are facing a lot of loss. Vidarbha, Marathwada produced 50% turmeric. Traders are fixing the price of 97% turmeric production.
